About The Perot Museum of Nature and Science
The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is a museum that celebrates science and natural history. It is in Dallas, Texas and is named after the billionaire philanthropist Ross Perot and his wife Margot. The museum has been open since 1936 and it moves to its current location in 2012.
There are a dozen permanent exhibit halls in the museum as well as many temporary exhibit areas as well. It is open daily with the last time if entry scheduled for one hour before closing time. There are extended hours available for those who are members. General admission ranges from $13-20, but there are some discounts available, including some for educators, military personnel and first responders.
If you decide to visit the museum and you need food or a beverage, there is no need to leave the campus. There is a cafe located on the grounds. It opens daily at 9 am and offers a full menu from 10 am - 4 pm. There is also catering available if you are interested in eating some of the culinary delights at a personal or corporate event. The cafe is run by famed celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and offers seasonal meals that highlight local ingredients.
