Commercial Roofing Services

Our Roof Services

Your sitting down with a buddy talking about your need for commercial roofing services. He’s an expert in the field but has little time to help with the actual project. You have no idea where to start, and all the contracting companies look pretty much the same. Where do you go from here?

Luckily, your buddy informs you that there are a few factors you can use to narrow down your search for the best commercial roofer. You grab a pen (go ahead, I’ll wait) and you start taking notes. Here’s what you write down:

  1. Look for Value

Don’t go with the least expensive contractor just to save a few bucks. You get what you pay for and good work isn’t always cheap. Top-quality jobs aren’t always the most expensive either. Look for a company that offers commercial roofing services at a decent price that’s competitive with the other companies in your area.

  1. Appearances Are (Sometimes) Everything

A contracting company that looks successful will most likely be successful at repairing your commercial roof without issues. Signs of success generally include things like professional appearances among the staff, new and updated equipment, and organized documentation of all work being performed. If possible, only hire a company that can provide you with a portfolio of examples of past projects.

  1. Get a Detailed Estimate

Estimates for commercial roofing services are often free and can help you determine which company to go with.  However, vague project evaluations are usually signs that something is not legit. A reputable company will give you an extremely detailed and itemized estimate that accounts for everything (even the small stuff).

  1. Ask about Options

Certain roofing companies will offer a variety of different service and material options to those who are interested (or qualify). Those choices generally include add-ons such as solar panels, daylighting, and waterproofing just to name a few. And while many of those add-on services cost extra on the final project, a reputable and well-equipped contractor will be able to offer them at a fair price and complete their installation in a timely manner.

  1. Look for Licensing and Insurance

If at all possible, never do business with a commercial roofing service that isn’t properly licensed, bonded and insured. Accidents can happen at any time and for a wide variety of reasons. Engaging in dangerous roofing work without adequate legal protection can put you and/or your entire business at risk. Usually, a company will reveal their coverages at the same time they provide you with an estimate. If not, don’t be afraid to ask for their credentials.

Putting It All Together

Your search for a good commercial roofing service doesn’t have to be a pain in the neck (or the wallet). Experts may be everywhere, but there are always a few that stand out from the crowd. Stay diligent and keep an eye on the condition of your structure to avoid spending more than you have to.
